This is a general question but will insurance be significantly more for a Track model vs. the other models?

my guess is probably not. I think that all models will be in the same class, and they all share the same engine. All the different Z models are basically different trim levels of the same car. But I could be wrong. I would never put it past insurance companies to find any excuse to charge more

hey intrepid have you gotten a quote from your insurance company for the z yet?
frankly i'm pretty scared to see how much my rate would be, cause i'm under 25 and had 1 ticket 2 years ago.

I'm also under 25 and have one ticket. The best quote I've found is around 2K per year. That's for fairly decent coverage, though. Check out Mercury insurance.

There are many factors that will affect your insurance. I work for Allstate in Dallas and THE #1 Factor I think is your Financial Score. Then maybe driving history and then the type of car. If you live in Texas, I can help you out. Email me at STXB8K01@Allstate.com and I can help you out to get your rates lower.

Farmers quoted me $1088.60 per year. That is for 250/500/100 with a $1000 deductable, what I have with them now. I guess there is some advantage to being 55.

Good luck getting a quote from an insurance company at this time. I talked to mine (GEICO) to get a ballpark figure. They didn't have the Z in their system. They used an Audi TT to ballpark it. I also had them use a Honda S2K.
If anybody want to know, it added about $400/six months to my insurance. I'm 31 with a clean driving record.
