The hood is just too plain.

 

yea...that's a pretty ugly hood. I wonder if they're 100% on using that hood...and I wonder if this is necessary, that if other existing aftermarket hoods would fit over the engine...

 

Reminds me of the bulgy Stillen hood without the secondary bulge.

Honestly, if the bottom of the hood lump was chiselled looking instead of having soft lines, that would make it ok by me.

How much HP/Tq is the new model supposed to have and is it going to be with the new engine???

 

I wouldnt say the hood is but its nothing special.

I hope that will be an option, I wonder if they made the hood like that because they had to. It does look like the Stillen hood, and that's not a good thing!

I bet there will be some neat looking hoods for it....

 

I think they should have extended the bulge down a bit more towards the front and made the lines sharper.

In any case, I don't like the new hood, I don't hate it either. But, if that is what it takes to fit the new engine into a Z, I say bring it on.

 

I knew I had seen that design somewhere...

 

Maybe they could have put 2 holes in the front of the hump and made a Ram Air like the old Trans Am ??
