Agreed, but the older headlights still look better modded. The large center projector is just wayyy too big. The only way I would consider putting them on is if I hid those projectors by blacking out the outer lense like crazy as well which would defeat the purpose of getting better lighting

Looks like Nissan is turning to the past for design ques. Looks like a subtle version of a 240z hood.

I think its pretty darn ugly, and prefer mine much more. In the charting the changes link, what color was that orange z at the bottom? Is that the new color? Looks kind of like that lotus orange, pretty sweet, although a bit fast & furious-ish

Looks like the 69-83 hood. raised in the middle just like those.
My guess is they were going after the old Z look.

Maybe Nissan is thinking like Mitsu used to when they put those "power bulges" in older Eclipses??

That NEVER made sense to me then and it still doesn't NOW....Wonder if Nissan has an explanation as to WHY they made the change? new Engine maybe??

 

It has to be to make room for the engine. The problem is not the bulge in my opinion. It is the lack of lines. The aftermarket hood makers are loving it though! Just remember, you can always change the hood, the engine seems like an ok upgrade.
