Hopefully they are not taking cues from Mitsu or they'll go straight down the sh!tter just like 'em...

That hood is terrible lol. The new motor looks sweet though.

Jealous of the new VQHR, but the hood is hideous.

My guess is they were going after the old Z look.
Nissan should leave the going-back-to-the-early-days-of-car-making to the self proclaimed "Big Three." This retro $#!+ really is just an excuse for a lack of inspiration. Put in simple terms, Ford, Chevy, and Dodge couldn't come up with any ideas for what a sports car should look like, so they made the Mustang, Camaro, and Challenger look exactly like they did a long time ago, but heavier.
Here's a picture of the VQ35HR from http://www.vq35hr.com Duh, who would've thought to look there?

I didn't know what was up with 07s until I skimmed a few threads as I've not been so active on here anymore.
I acually saw a Z w/the new hood at the SF auto show yesterday. I change my mind on this. I don't really like it but it isn't THAT terrible.

The 07 Z was locked though so we couldn't do anything other than peer inside thru the windows. 06s Z out on the show floor weren't locked up.
