Yes, unfortunately Davidv is right. There are so many people that are only to happy to run a key over our paint or damage our cars. Very, very sad pathetic fact. I'd only had my zed 2 weeks when it happened the first time, and that was in the most upmarket area of the town I live, BMW's, Ferraris, etc galore, go figure.

Unfortunately vandals are in every neighborhood: rich or poor. If you take the car shopping or to a restaurant or park in a garage at work, you are at risk. The only safe place is to never take the 350Z out of the garage.

It all comes down to the have's and the have not's. We've all been pennyless punks at one point in our lives... there's not much to lose when you don't have a dime to your name. The have not's want what the have's have... and unfortunately, a large percentage of the have not's want to have our cars. So naturally, they hate. The only advice I have to give, is to try to keep your car away from areas where there are an abundance of have not's hanging around. If you roll through these areas, you get the most play and the most neck breaks... but if you park your car for a second in these same areas... you run the risk of it getting ****ed with. Try to go to the mall or the movies when kiddies are supposed to be in school. Avoid Wal-Mart and Target parking lots like the plague. Don't go anywhere on a Friday or Saturday night without your glock.

I know the feeling, i got keyed last year on my drivers door down to the bare metal. Ended up being 425 bucks out of my pocket and you can still faintly see the key mark. Then earlier this year i had to get 3 door dings taken out.

I worry about that all the time, so far so good. Nothing bad after 9200 miles. I check all the time too. This car has made me neurotic! I know something will happen eventually, but hopefully I will never catch anyone doing it or find out who it was that did. That person would be in for some pain. I can not stand people that can not respect others property. It's a true shame that such scum of the earth exist.

It was at stupid Busch Gardens and I was even parked on an end spot, when we parked before going in I noticed how close the passenger door of the pos cobalt got to me but I thought nothing of it. What gets me is, how do you ding a door getting into your car, getting out is one thing, but getting in, man it even left white paint on my CS finish.
Did you get the plate of the biatch! Like I mentioned in previous posts, I worry too much about this kind of thing. Like you, I try to park on an end spot and as far over as possible. Also, I try to park to the far right spot (this works well at work since most people drive alone to work). I also figure if I can't hit their car with my door, odds are they are not going to hit mine. I won't park in a spot that I know can be reached by another door.

i have been paranoid over every single fun car i have ever owned. there are so many haters out there. i am working grave shift so i have not been able to get a quote done on my car yet. i am planning on doing it saturday or sunday and get the insurance rolling. my comprehensive is going to cover anything over $500. my girl is going to help me out with this. she knows how stressed and upset i am over this. ultra yellow isnt exactly a common color. i was told it has bits of pearl in it. this is going to suck!! at least i have a back up car.

That was a pretty long time ago, if I remember correctly.
