Default Stupid people - how she caused the accident

So a fer minutes ago I was comming from the gym. It is raining a bit in chicago - so the road is pretty slippery. I was supposed to make a left turn - but I was making is relatively slowly so some stupid old woman in a truck started beeping on me. I couodnt care less if she beeps or not.

So as I am almost finishing the turn, she is right behind me. She floors the truck (she wanted to go to the other lane) and looses control. The trucks spuns and she hits the light. I have just seen in my rear view mirror how the truck is spinning. Then she hit the light and it felt on the street a few inches from other cars.

I wanted to come back and take some pictures - but I am not a jerk like this.

Some people are just plain stupid.

A little MS Pain Picture - I know its not the best quality.

apparently she forgot that water+road=slippery. Funny how people forget that if it doesn't rain for a while.

Default How she ruined my day.

Also in Chicago, my girlfriend flew in from Philadelphia. I took her to the Lincoln Park Zoo, it's free and a great time on a nice day. We just pulled up to the parking area and are waiting in line for a ticket. Take ticket, park car. Take ticket, park car. When I'm only two cars away from being at the front of the line to take my ticket from the machine, the blue VW Toureg THROWS IT IN REVERSE. I LAY ON THE HORN. SHE KEEPS COMING UNTIL *CRUNCH* Unbelievable. This was Oct 1st or something. I bought the car brand-new the end of July. The front bumper cracked wide open, the hood actually popped up in the middle and crinkled. We pull to the side, I copy her license word for word and she explains she "just didn't see me". In line, at the zoo. Each of the four lines had twenty or so cars in it. She was in the front. Anyway, my car was still drivable, HARDLY a scratch on HERS, we enter the zoo where I try to have a good time for the rest of the afternoon and she turns around and drives away! Never even goes into the zoo!

WHAT WERE YOU DOING THERE AND GOD WHY ME?!?!

Some people suck at driving! myself, I take the same route home daily, see many of the same people daily and they do the same stupid shyt daily! They know the lights are timed yet they race to the next light to only stop and wait. Personally I've calculated the timing so I know how fast I need to be going to make most of the lights, I was bored and it was the least I could do having taken this route for the past three plus years.

PS, nice drawing

Technically...

When the 350Z made a left turn, it should be in the left most lane of the street it just entered. Therefore, the truck would not have hit the light post.

If I followed you guideline - the truck would hit the Z not the light post...

No, the truck would make a wide left turn and would probably spin off the road behind you. I guess she was asleep during physics class.

The Z can pick any lane it wants on that left turn. Right hand turns, get right most lane. Left hand turns, get what they want. I've taken the far left lane on left turns just to scare the **** out of people making rights on reds. If the truck lady was following the Z through the green light, and then cut left to take the inner most lane, her back end could have swung right and nailed that pole like he described. She should have respected the road conditions and the awesome machinery in front of her. Now she has to deal with the po-pos, a claim adjuster and the sniffles when she goes to sleep tonight. This was an at fault accident and her rates should go up. But don't be surprised if you get questioned by the cops because she'll try to say you caused it in some way of another.
