Angry Problems...What Should I do??

It all started back in July 06, I bought a brand new 06 350z from a dealer who told me that they got it as a dealer trade. I got a really good deal on it. Drove it for a few months put 3,200 miles on it, I had an appointment scheduled at the dealer for an oil change and a check up because it started making wierd noises. One day the motor decides to just die on me in middle of a parking lot, starter wouldnt turn the motor over, nothing worked.

Well Nissan picks it up and they say, "the motor only had a half a quart of oil in it, and you threw a rod bearing." So they said that they were going to put a short block in it, i had to fight them to get a long block put in. After 3 1/2 painful weeks of having to drive a pos rental dodge neon i got my car back. Everything seemed fine except a huge scratch they put in the strut bar and the shifter was loose. I broke the new motor in properely.

Here i am at 3,000 miles on the new motor and im back at nissan again because the motor started ticking, because of low oil. They said it was only a quart and a half low, and that i have to bring it back in for the oil consumption test in a 1,000 miles.

They are probably going to give me another long block, but im not to sure if i want another motor. Has anyone on here been able to get nissan to buy there car back? or am i going to have to get an attorney to do the lemon law? Thanks for the help in advance.

It seems that Nissan is working with you. They gave you a new motor, and are conducting a consumption test. Lemon laws in each state are different. Contact an attorney.

I'm right there with ya.. check out my post in the repair forum... what a bunch of crap. This is why I'd rather a cash settlement over them replacing the motor.

Sorry for your troubles! As for your current oil issue, if they offer to replace the short/long block again, try to get them to replace the entire with a NEW one!

I'm on 12k miles and no oil issues at all. It sucks that this is happening to some 06's.

Im going throught an oil consumption test right now. Considering i just had the car in for its 5000 mile checkup and oil change last month, and now im down 3 qts in 1000 miles, so a new engine should be in my future when the test results are in.

Sorry to hear about the neon. That's adding insult to injury but anyway good luck with everything. Sucks you had a bad experience with such low mileage
