Default Trimmed front license plate

When I bought my new 06 Z the idiots at the dealership already drilled holes in the bumper.

So I was wondering if anyone has trimmed/cut their license plate to look smaller and tuck into the grille.
Being a VW fan awhile back I've seen quite a few people do this and even seen one around town too.

Anyone do this? If so, any cops harass you? Laws against modifying plate?

I have to do something with this stupid mandatory billboard on the front of my bumper.

There are alternatives to cutting up the license plate.

A quick search for "front license plate":

https://my350z.com/forum/exterior-and-interior/221034-front-license-plate-mounting.html

That thread has several different options and also includes a link this this product: https://www.mynismo.com/products/?id=3587

Where is cx?

Register your car in a State that does not use a front plate.

Police do not write/make the laws.

Do a search.

One of our CA members bent her plate (in a minimizing look) to fit in her bumper behind her aftermarket grill, and she was instructed to get it fixed (by method of a fix-it ticket, I believe) by her local police.
