lol...in the past 2months i must have gone thru like every thread in the picture/performance section to come up with ideas for what i want my Z to look n perform like...

i must have made like 2 posts on the tiburon forum in past month
Hey. Make the switch you'll be glad you did. Here are pics of my old Tiburon and my new Z. The Tiburon is not that bad of a car don't get me wrong but it doesn't even come close to the Z. The Z is a REAL sports car. I owned my Hyundai for 2 years and don't have anything bad to say about it. When I owned it I took it for a drive down this very windy road where I live and thought WOW this thing handles pretty good. (mind you I lowered it and changed the front and rear sway bars) Then after I bought my Z i took it down the same road and thought wholly sh*t !!. No comparison at all. More "nice car comments" and less "that's a chick car" comments

Glad that you at least got a later gen. Tiburon, cuz those earlier Tibs were hella ugly....the year Tib you got looks pretty good (would NEVER buy one, but looks nice).

HERE'S THE 2000 Tiburon: Damn, that car was nauseating :

Ya the older models were kinda ugly. I bought mine when the year they made the model change. They have very good ratings for having few problems. GT V6 170 HP no comaprison to the Z though.

170 HP?? That's only 6 more HP than the old Ford Probe GT (which I really liked and was gonna buy in 1994, but went with a 135 HP N/A Toyota MR2 instead....go figure! )

Now this Saturday at the young age of 52 I am going to pick up my new Z and my son who is almost 18 will drive it home for me. I hope his first drive in the Z is as memorable as mine was many years ago. Still love those 240s....what a gorgeous car they were then and are now. The 350 is also a gorgeous car and carries on the tradition.
That was beautiful man *wipes tears*, I'm sure his first drive in the Z will be so memorable that he can even dream about it.

Thanks...he is still talking about it and I am sure all of his friends got an earful of his drive back. We had a great time although the paperwork took quite a while and he got kinda antsy to get going which I dont blame him. It is great that my experience as a youth has now become his and believe me everyone you dont forget it as long as you live.....isnt it funny what a car can do...make memories. Believe it or not I did get to drive it once we got home and it was fantastic...what a great car...glad I made the purchase.
