The person with the only documented sighting of the 350z mentions that the car has the same engine/exhaust note as the Boxster S.. Here are some sound clips of the Boxster; this should wet your Z craving

I would hope the note is better. My first car, 77' 280z was a hell of a lot better than a boxster(exhaust note). I don't know if those clips were really of a boxster s or not, they actually sounded nice. Usually the flat 6 porsche's are not really known for their sound. Even my friend's 02' twin turbo, w/ stage 2 upgrades doesn't sound like a $150k car should. I hope the exhaust is as distinctive as the originals. One can still easily pick out the inline-6 sound of the 70-78 Z's in traffic. I'm sure we won't be disappointed.
