Default Hate little animals

I was on my way to a friends house. I live in the suburbs and half the streets are 2-lane roads covered by woods on each side, and yes when i drive on these streets i always tend to be more cautious.

Well anyways, i was just driving when some small animal(i dont know if ill ever figure out what it is) starts crossing the road from my left side coming across the lanes. I start to slow down to about 30mph and I had a mini-van on my tail so I didn't slam on the brakes. I try to get away from the animal as far as i could, these roads are the widest roads. Well damn.

So...... this little guy somehow ends up in b/t my left wheel and the fender.

As soon as i felt and heard the impact, the wheel turned left and was stuck there for about a half-second. It takes my car across the other lane right towards the curb. As soon as the steering comes back I tried sooooo hard to pull it back right, but no. My rear of drivers side tire made contact with the curb and my side OEM "skirt" cracked and the the edges were pretty scrathed to hell. I know it wasn' that bad, but what a way to crash....

I've, perosnally, never heard anythign about a wheel locking up like that.

But yea, maybe this means a new body kit in the spring with the x-mas money

But until then maybe some double sided tape and some major cleaning to do

Pics once the sun comes out

Im sure it was some little blind girls seeing eye dog that was given to her after she lost her site in a car accident that claimed the life of both her parents and all 4 of her grandparents. That dog was her only friend.

You my friend are a bastard for thinking abou tonly your car.

I totally owned a raccoon the other night coming back from the movies. That'll teach the little bastards to hog the road.

I went for a drive one night, turned a corner and nearly ran over the racoons that were crossing the road together. WTF? That would have been quite a mess.

Your crash was minor compared to mine when an animal comes out in front of you. Sorry about your z though. Heres my old jeep that was totalled and will be replaced by a z.

after

Lousy windshield support! It's a good thing that you're not 6'5"!

You should've hit the brakes hard to avoid hitting it...if the minivan rear-ends you, its completely their fault.

you've clearly never driven a lifted jeep on 35's. What brakes. I can't lock them up no matter how hard i try. Actually the animal was a little smaller than a deer. I wouldn't of normally swerved, but it really was running across the road, it didnt even look at me. And oddly enough that shoddy windshield support saved my lift. Because it collapsed, i didnt roll anymore. And if i rolled anymore, i'd be at the bottom of a cliff. It's weird how stuff happens.

To the orignal poster sorry for the thread jacking.

At least it was not an armadillo. One of those put a crack on the underside of my bumper. Naturally, I never had any problem with them until I got my Z. Two in the first week crossed my path. I guess this thing is a chic and small animal magnet!
