Thats a little retarded if u ask me....

You paid for a touring model, and now u want to rip out those nice leather seats (not to mention the heated elements and electric motors for power)?

If u were going to do that, u should have went with a track and got the wheels and brembos.

I have a CS touring with frost leather and I wouldn't trade my seats for anything.

Turcoupe, I find the seats a bit short in the seat area. Several others have made the same comment. Everyone's body is different and every driver has his/her's opinion. Too much of my calf is un-supported and makes long driving a chore. I'm 6'1 and weigh 180 lbs and have owned "Z's" for almost 30 years. I had recaro's in my last 2 "Z's" and they have a pull out support to go under your legs as well as an adjustable lumbar support for your back. They are by far the best invertment you can make. I wish Nissan would have offered a seat like that. All I can say is the seat's are a big dissapointment and are starting to show wear after only 6 months of use. If it keeps up like this, they will need to be replaced in a year...

i'm getting recaro spg, but brackets from recaro are not made yet.

my friend's shop can make custom brackets, but don't have the time to leave the car at his shop for a few days.

anyways, sparco has brackets for there seats.

maybe considering brides seats also.

yeah, trade in your car b/c you don't like the seats. That's a good idea.

Right.. I never said I wasn't happy with the car.. Just the seats are lacking.. It's easier to replace the seats and then I can enjoy all the long distance driving this summer..

I know that you'll invalidate your side air bag option (the head curtains will be fine) as they deploy from the seats. Also, does anyone know if this will present an error code, like the ecu reads that the bags are not there, etc.?

I spoke to a Recaro rep in Germany and he said they will make models available with side air bags so thet won't be a problem. They said about 3 months for it to be available.

Considering the Z is already a dime a dozen, I can see why the people with the least amout of style and individually want to mod the F U C K outta the Z.....

Go wit da Brides bro....

These days Recaro and Sparco setups are like getting your seats at Wal-Mart...

Several people, while installing stereos, turned their cars on with the seats removed. This caused an error fault to the ECU that turned on an idiot light (don't remember which one). It took a trip to the dealer and a consult to turn off the light even after the seats were put back in.

It seems to me that to replace the Z's seats, you would have to deal with whatever sensor in the seat is reporting to the ECU. Has anyone dealt with this issue yet?
