I have an 06 Z and I have never experienced a rev limiter or cut off.( I saw ealier someone talking about a rumor that the 06's don't have the same cut off as the previous models, this might be true) I've also pushed her into the 160's... Texas has nice flat long highways. hehe

How do you get your speed limiter off?

I was thinking more along the lines of getting it and then and one thing will lead to another and then finally the moment you've all been waiting for...

On the dyno I saw 163, but on the road the highest it goes is 159-160. This is all in 5th gear.
This is quite frustrating when the cars your cruising with can go 170+

What size rims do you have. Before I got my 19's I could just barely pass 160, and when I hit the speed limiter it wasn't like the rev limiter, its like I just couldn't go any faster. But I have a turbo got to 160 farely fast and then stopped at 160. I know I can go faster. Now with my 19's I can go past 160. I think I've hit 165 before. I don't think it was accurate though.

Your wheel and tire size changes your final drive. I have 285-35-18 in the rear and it droped my final drive by 3%. So larger would increase your final drive making your gears longer IE 6th toping out higher than before. Just use the calculator and you will see the change in each gear.

I've seen my digital speedometer hit 163 out on us-27, i was expecting it to stop at 155 but it didn't! it kept climbing up to 163 until i let off. I haven't tried again since i got my pioneer navigation, but i'll let you guys know how accurate it is when i do.

Who in the hell comes up with these speeds to limit car/motorcycles too? Motorcycles are supposed to be limited to 189mph. Now cars are supposed to be limited to 159? WTF? So 159mph is dangerous but 158mph is good to go? If they're so concerned about how fast a vehicle can be allowed to try why don't they limit them to 85mph - 100mph? Of course there would be a huge protest but how do they come up with a MPH that's supposed to be safe? That's impossible so why limit vehicles at all? If someone if going to do 210mph on a public road and crashes the wreckage will be just as bad if he was only doing 159mph.
