Default Maxing out!

Here in the UK, I was out on a cool summer morning (about 5.30 I think) and was on a safe stretch of motorway. I decided to leave my foot on the pedal too see just what it would do!
166mph on the clock ond digital read and the car still felt like it would pull some more.
Interestingly though, the satnav was reading 155 on the dot.....
Ran out of road/*****!

2003's supposedly governed at 156MPH.
Variable. I've hit 157 before and wasn't hitting the rev limiter. I might have been doing 152 or something and the speedo was wrong (highly possible), but yeah, hasn't stopped me at 156. I have never hit 160 though. When I hit 155 it was still accelerating, but had to get off it.

Some countries mandate top speed limits. I believe Great Brittain has a 155mph limit. Some countries limit horsepower output, too. Like the infamous "286HP" limit in Japan.

That is absolutely not true. A wreck at 159mph is going to be very, very bad, yes. But a wreck at 210mph is going to be exponentially worse.

Maybe the speedometers are off a little? I went 155 and held it there b/c when I hit the limiter in my Cobra it threw a code and f***ed with the ECU/fuel all the way back home.
Just get an AAM reflash and don't worry about it anymore.

This is true, but I also understand slam's point.

If you slam into an immoveable object at 159 the entire car will pulverized and the driver will be atomized.
If you slam into an immoveable object at 210 the entire car will pulverized and the driver will be atomized.
