I will read the manual and the other trick...I know that mercedes dont require break ins..or at least AMG, they get tried and tricked from the factory.

And to add further to our confusion, Nissan Europe does NOT recommend any break-in period, and you won't find a word on it in the owner's manual.
I used the Motoman method for breaking in. Car runs hard and doesn't use a drop of oil. Go figure

The breakin period is overrated and most ppl don't even read the owners manual. Furthermore, even if the longevity of the motor is reduced (no proof one way or the other), most ppl will sell the car long before the engine breaks. I drove my 06 easy for the first 400 miles and then I added TT and drove it like I stole it. I'm up to 4500 miles and it runs perfect.
