most people on here are raising good points. the warranty is a big thing.. also the rims are gonna be a lot cheaper. You better understand how much you're gonna spend when you go turbo. at first i thought i just buy a turbo kit. then i saw a used one with a full exhaust for 4000. so i got that. i was thinking damn i got 2 mods for a good deal. Next i had to buy an engine management system (nobody will touch anything like emanage anymore) so you end up spending 700+ on that. Oh.. i might need a return fuel system, turbo timer, Map sensor, Gauges, Boost Controller, a Tune. hmm i'm sure there is more i am not thinking of right now. oh.. you'll have to recharge your AC, change your oil, umm lemme think what else.... lol. Oh you'll need a larger fuel pump. umm.. you get what i'm saying by now.??
5,000 turns into 6,000 which then turns into 7,000 then you need this and all of a sudden you've spent over 8,000 dollars for a turbo. haha then you risk blowing your engine or messing up your transmission which adds even more. Just think about it really long and hard before you decide.

im F/I now and i was sliding around with the stock rims before boost. i got 10 wide on the back now and moved 9 in the front. i got alot better control cuz it can fish tail. but if i had stock rims i would hate driving her boosted. traction will be an issue so do buy her some nice shoes first and then boost.

Think it through. I will be the first to say if you can't afford the blown motor and the down time, don't do it.

wheels and tires = $3500
turbo + install = $7000 and this is without a built motor.
just make sure if you go turbo you're ready for your motor to blow. then you'll need another 5 to 7 grand in that case. if you're not ready for that type of financial commitment. if you're not then just buy the wheels.
