Default What would you get!!!!!!

Ok Ladies and gents. another toss up question. As a second car to build up from the ground for a race car. Would you get a 240sx or go with a 300zx. Let me hear your PROS and CONS.

240 because I personally love the idea of a 4cyl rear wheel drive. I am sure this question is going to arise too, what kind of racecar, could you be a little more specific?

240's aren't straight line cars they have a weight problem there are allot better options then both of those cars if you want fast fr and sporty RX7 for example yeah its not a 4 cylinder but if u can get your hands on a turbo version you already have 230+ hp in a really nice looking shell.

unless your buying an SR20 redtop 210hp blacktop 225hp ( RB20-25 or even a CAdet 180hp for the 240sx, don't even bother, and if money was a factor and your wanted to keep it cheap.... yeah I think the cheapest swap there is the CA and your still looking at like 4grand for everything plus the car. Spent about 9g's on our 240sx with an SR20 but when we built ours it was a good 5 years ago when allot of people where like whats a S13?

Assuming you are trying to race on a track, then you need to get a 3rd gen RX-7.

If I had the money and time to build it, I'd go with the Factory Five GTM....Super sweet and I would go with the LS7 for the heck of it. I think that would be a fun car.

240...cuz the 300 is over weight. It's a lot easier to add power than it is to remove weight....well without serious penalties (eg not having an interior)

the 300z TT is an awsome car, but i bet you'd end up spending a lot more on it. I feel like if you're going to do a 300 you had better do it right, wheras a 240 can still be kinda a beater.
