It's probably not kosher to predict what someone else's car hasn't done. Berto will even tell you that.

what's the median age on this board? I'd guess not to high after reading this thread.

After owning nothing but stick vehicles for 15+yrs (and driving them longer) I can tell you I was ready for a break when I bought this Z. Whatever I got was gonna be an automatic. Love drivin' a stick but I certainly wouldn't fault someone for not driving one.

And what skill does it take to drive a stick? It ain't exactly rocket science.

Questions for the guys runnin' TH400 or TH350s. W/ turbo setups.....anyone considered a 'glide?

So the Th350 or 400 is a modification just like a engine build or FI setup, none of these mods are in the same "ballpark" as stock.

Yes I am sure we understand where you are coming from but what the thread starter was stating should be corrected and say "the th350 and th400 turbo auto tranS" are better at the drag strip then MT are. That would have been a better statment and a fact. He never mentioned ANY modification of any sort.

lol, if your gonna make comments about my car you should @ least know what the hell you are talking about. When I ran I left off about 5 times going down the track casue the tranny would not shift. Period. The stock 5AT VB would not handle 7.5psi. BTW, I didn't run a 13.9 either. I'll be going back pretty soon since I've ugraded the VB now.

Ronny White, 6MT, and Keith Ransford, 5AT, both of Ft. Pierce, were booked at the St. Lucie County jail for alleged aggravated assault. Both were later freed on bond, said sheriff's Sgt. Andy McIntosh.

"They got into a first altercation and the one guy tries to attack the second guy with deer antlers," McIntosh said. "It's not an everyday occurrence."

White and Ransford allegedly got into an altercation while driving along U.S. 1 in Ft. Pierce, McIntosh said. The men stopped, and White allegedly attempted to attack Ransford with the deer antlers. Both men got back in their cars, crashed into each other, then stopped again about a block away, according to the sheriff's report.

Ransford then allegedly rammed his vehicle into White's car. White pulled out a handgun and fired one shot into Ransford's vehicle, the report stated. Neither men suffered serious injuries

ahh... my head hurts >.< ... why do people drive auto? what's wrong with just fukn shift the damn thing. those who think that... driving a stick gets tiring over time...then u have prolly never driven a stick before you lame nut. it should be 2nd nature to you.

now whenever i drive an auto... i step on an imaginary clutch before i start the engine... and wondering what in the fukn world is my car doing.

cant bleep the engine when running across hot chicks or... rev up the engine to tell the person behind you to "dont fukn tail gate me, *****"

auto cant do that... that **** is boring to drive

Coming from the teenager with very little driving experience and one who has never driven "over time."

Will agree with you here as I have done it. Was driving a patrol vehicle one day and went to depress the clutch. Was embarassing when I slammed on the brake instead.

I don't use my car (MT or AT) for this purpose. Personality used to get me dates before I got married. I never had to rely on a car.

rev up the engine to tell the person behind you to "dont fukn tail gate me, *****"
Never heard of revving the engine to keep a tailgater away from me. Pushing harder on the gas with it in gear usually solves that. Maybe your problem is you are driving 45mph in the freeway fast lane. If that's the case, then move over so no one tailgates.

Yeah, you are right. It is impossible for an AT to rev the motor. Wish you would have advised me earlier about this.

works for me... and im talking about on the streets... some idiots tend to get really close to you on hills + stop lights... before they come to a stop behind you... rev up.

mmm ok, maybe u too old... i understand. let's say u did make a mistake and bought a stick 350z..... i bet you anything... u wouldnt mind shifting all the time.
