Default I finally decided on what car I will be purchasing....

This is what I had in mind about 3 months ago

-AP2 S2000

-Audi TT 225

-5th Gen Prelude

-350Z

-BMW 330CI

I test drove all those cars over a period of 3 months and I finally found and decided what my next car will be, an 04 black on black 350Z with about 40k miles for $ 20,000 OTD.

I'm pretty sure it's the base model, but I'm not really worrying about the leather seats, navi, etc.

Can someone go over the models with me? I read an article on here, but It didn't give me a good idea of what the differences were?

20k sounds kinda pricey for an 04 base with 40k...they go new for 27k.

if it doesnt have cruise control buttons on the steering wheel its a base. Base also = no LSD or traction control system.

I'm still not too sure it's a base model.

Took me awhile to figure out what I wanted, and plus I was in no hurry. If I had rushed it I would have probably ended up with a prelude.

20k, 40000 miles, base model is a horrible deal. It better be a touring or up.

www.nissanusa.com will explain all the differences. There is also a sticky thread in which I made a post about this very question.

What's wrong with the Prelude? I happen to own both a 5th gen Prelude and an 06 350z. I think they are both great cars except the Nissan is faster.

I really love my 4thgen prelude, but its getting old, i am considering a 350z,but i am not sure about it,how much better is it than the prelude, since you own both car.

If you'll be paying by the month, I'd only get an '05 or preferably an '06.

Got my 04 Black Enthusiast with 15k miles for 24k OTD. I probably could have gotten it for a little less, but it felt right. That would put your base at about 18.5 or so before TT&L.

Kelly Blue Book suggest a retail price of $22,800 if its in excellent condition. For what its worth. If you tried, you could probably get one thats newer or has less miles for around the same price, but I dont think youre doing too bad on that one.

04 base model doesnt have LSD, HID, Traction Control and no Cruise control.

Look for all 3 items, Lsd wont be easy to find but HID, TC and CC are right there.
