okay...i know i'm gonna get flamed for this, but check it out.....i'm getting on to the 99 freeway......i've got the stereo on pretty loud....i jump over 2 lanes.... i shift into 5th, and jump into the fast lane, i look down and see a little amber "SLIP" light flashing!!!....i couldn't recreate the situation with the radio off, so i have no idea if it was audible before....has anyone else gotten a slip light in fifth???....with dry roads and the sun shining???

Id imagine the "slip" was from the lane change, and not the foward movement.
only way to chirp 5th would be with a horrible horrible gear change that you managed to have the revs off by so much and let the clutch out so abruptly that the wheels skipped.
but be careful, in 5th gear your movin fast, VDC and TCS are nice features, but 3200lbs moving at 70mph will never be easy to stop.
