From what I understand yes. I grew up on RWD but have never had a LSD. If you really over-do it you may find your whole rear end spinning instead of one wheel unloading with lots of wheelspin. Keep that in mind if you switch. I don't know where you are going to learn this except from experience so be careful.
To put it another way, yes it will be more fun - but could be more dangerous. Depends on the situation and the driver.
