Default Question About Pricing

I have an offer for 26K out the door for a base 350z with about 300 dollars in options (floor mats, mud guards, etc). The price without taxes and title is about 25k which is about 2000 below invoice. Do you think this is a good deal for a 2006 350z or should I wait a little longer for the 2007 models?

get the 07.. wait.. i have read on here the 07 has quite an improvement to the engine internals so the 07 would be a better buy.. also if you wait a few months that same 06 will drop in price.. thats why they are trying to push you out the door with it.. also do not buy a base.. try to get at least an enthusiast.. IMHO..

As an FYI my previous car was a 2005 Honda S2000 and although it was alot of fun it was miserable as a daily driver. I am hoping the 350z would function better as a daily driver, but I want to make sure I get a good deal on one (especially since I would be swallowing a year's worth of depreciation right off the bat).

My dad's Z is his daily. He calls it his little go-cart. LOL (He means that in a good way.)

I think you mean $2000 under MSRP because a base model 350z at $25k before taxes and title and all that crap sounds a bit high.

Base invoice is 25,860. Options are 357 and freight is 615 which brings the total invoice to 26,832. With taxes (3.2 percent in Virginia) and title and processing fee (299, which I don't think I can get out of) the total is about 28,000. They are offering 1000 below invoice and there is currently a 1000 rebate which makes the price 26,000 which is 2000 below invoice. The net price is about 26,000 which as I've said before is about 2000 below invoice.

Err, they are pulling a fast one on you. You can't take the $1k from under invoice AFTER T&T it's before. They do crap like this just to pad a few extra dollars to a deal and the customer's none the wiser.

If it truly was $1k under, you'd be at $26,957.62 (T&T&ProcFee) - $1000 rebate = $25,957.62 vs. 25,989.62 ... I know, it's only $32 but if they do 100 cars a month, that's an extra $38,400 a year in the dealer's pocket by pulling this monkey business.

If I misunderstood you, then ignore me

I was close to that on my 06 base.
The 07's look like they might have a new hood design and everyone is ranting and raving about the engine.

For me, I don't see the point. The hood is ugly and the engine alone isn't worth the extra money when you can get that power from nismo parts if you REALLY want it.

I would take that deal on the 06 base if it is what your looking for. The deal is good.

It really grinds my gears that the base doesn't have cruise control.

I would want a very good deal on an '06 Enthusiast/Touring model. Otherwise, I'd wait for an '07 model. Good luck!
