tire feathering issues and tranny issues on the 03 and 04 models cause people to rethink buying those years, making it harder to sell them. also the market for a z that has been modded is very small. tasteful mods make a car more interesting to me, and make it worth more to me, but to many people mods mean abuse. not all people drive their z's hard or mid them. many z buyers are older and just looking for a nice looking car for a decent price. they are more likely to buy an almost new z or a brand new one.
At a dealership and it has test pipes? As for your question, some dealerships seem to charge a load for any Z they have and some just seem to be dying to get rid of them. When I was shopping, the first dealership was asking 24K for an 03 enthusiast with 30k miles. I ended up getting an 05 base with only 8k miles for 20500.

The reason the prices have drop is because the market is flooded with 350z's... From what I can tell people buy them and then 2-3 years later they need a bigger car and the Z gets the axe... Just comes down to how really practical is a 2 seater sports car... Only reason I own one is because I have a FX35 for my everyday driving, I only use the Z on the weekends, and even then sometimes it will sit in the garage for 3-4 weeks before I take it for a spin... Most people can't afford to have a 2nd car just sitting in the garage for weekend fun and the Z is not really practical for your only car...

The post above about the Z not being a family or needing bigger is by far the number one reason for the flood of Z's. I got my 03 Touring with everything that comes in the Grand Touring model that blue booked for 28k for 22k and they gave me more for my truck. And why did they have it, because a mother needed back seats for the kids and bought a G35. I can tell you from experience even with no wife or kids only having 2 seats and not alot of trunk space on your daily can be frustrating. I do computer work and the space issue has come up quite a bit. And the by product of this is that you get 2 sets of people that owe Z's. The people that has other daily drivers, no kids, or have the money for a "play" car or with the prices as they are, the teenagers who get a used Z for the price of a newer civic and rice them out. The only good thing is because the Z parts arent a dime a dozen at Pep Boys, the cost of the upgrades keep alot of the Fast and Furious people out of the driver seats of our loved Z cars.
As for keeping it or selling it? If you bought the Z to own a classy, beautiful peace of machinery, that you like and want to keep, the resale value shouldnt matter because you want to keep it. If you bought it knowing you are going to sell it and maybe want something else, then it may make more investment sense to get rid of it.

i have never needed more room in my car. I love the fact that it has 2 seats because i dotn have to drive most of the time. If i need a lot of space i'll jsut borrow the gf's car.
