the power difference is definately noticeable and it sounds throatier.. the only thing i dont like about it is the SIDE PROFILE OF THE NEW HOOD, looks retarded, like the hood wants to hang over the front like a pouch of fat but a gurdle is stopping it.. other than that, it's a peice of sex and im pretty sure ill have one int he next month or so ;D

I just went to a Central Arkansas dealer and watched them unload their weekly shipment.. about 4 Versa Sedans, one 07 Maxi, and one San Marino Blue Z. It went straight to their service bay where they closed the doors and were checking it out.

It was pretty funny being out there in the pouring rain with 10 guys staring at this thing. (Its rained about 4 inches today, standing water everywhere)

The sales jerk told me it was "not theirs", but they were supposed to get a couple in February. This dealer usually does not have a strong used vehicle selection. Today they had an 06 PPW ENTH Roadster and an 05 DB that had been lowered with black powder coat wheels.

 

again with people complaining about the hood....ugh

 

ok we got it the hood sucks. yet ur still going to buy one. its not for style as much as making everything under the hood fit properly. get on the nissan design and engineering team so the next nissan doesnt look so horrible

 

Why is everyone so offended that a guy wanted to give a review of a car that he test drove and thinking of buying and mentioned his opinion on one of the things he did not like about the car?

i ACTUALLY dont mind the hood at all other than from the side view it just kind of looks retarded, from all other angles it's sexy IMO.

 

I saw an 07 too, and am indifferent towards the hood.

I got one coming in Feb. so I better like it or get along with it ...right.

 

Sound sliek you have already driven pre-07 models. Give us more driving impressions, leave the design stuff for us to worry about =)

They keep upping the HP/TQ each damn year I should have waited damnit. Although I agree, the hood is a big NO.

 

Any other likes/dislikes???? I would like to drive one just see if the Butt-o-meter can feel a difference.

 

let us know when you find out if the new engine is swappable into the 03+ Z's

Do you think the 07 would have a great advantage over the pre 07's. 06 vs 07 how much of a win do you thnk that power can really get you? Would the trade in even be worth it?

Most old skool car guy's can't even turn a computer on, but they can tell the difference bewteen 98 and 87 gas by smelling the tail pips
