Default 1992 Miata

After I blew the engine (my 4th engine in 3 cars) in my 94 Rx7 TT, and swearing off Rx7s forever, I couldn't find anything I really wanted so I took my wife's Miata and bought her a 2000 Landcruiser.

Came close to buying a 2000 MZ3 and MCoupe, and passed on a 2001 M3 (after I heard they throw rods). If anyone was gonna blow the motor it would be me.

Placed my deposit in Nov 2001 (the day after seeing the car on some magazine cover).

It's been a LONG wait....almost 2 years...but I gotta say I like that little Miata! I might even keep it!

unfortunately, i am not gonna get any car... why?
I owned a X-type 3.0 which bought in last september ($70kcdn incl. tax). The car is fully loaded, & reverse sensor, except natvigation & sport. however, i wanted to trad in the x-type and get a sport car, guess what i got for a trade in value today? u wouldn't believe it~ $37000cdn ($24666USD) max!!! It's only 12000km, no scratch, garage kept, perfect condition!!! Why? Jaguar is giving out $6k rebate to ppl now of getting the x-type~ (if you r thinking to get one b/c of the rebate....DON"T!!! even without the rebate the resell sucks on JAG!!!). Even though, i am highly satisfy w/ the quality & performance of the Jag X-Type but I am very disappointed w/ the resell value, and i would never ever buy another Jag anymore in my life!!! A Ford may have better resell value than the Jag~ I feel like driving a domestic car or even a honda civic~

I traded in my 1998 Acura Integra GSR. Great car - but not enough torque and too much revving required. Really disappointed in the new Acura RSX w/ styling and engine output - wanted to get one but it just didn't excite me.

LMAO! Street sweepers -- that's good.

Soon I'll be selling my '94 Acura Integra GS-R. Great car (with a couple upgrades, but it's not riced out). I am actually worried that the Z won't handle as well! I'll miss ripping it to 8000 rpm the way I have been for the past month in rural Indiana going to and from work. Brrrrrrrrrrrr (hellloooo VTEC...) Brzaaaaaaaaaahhh

Looking forward to taking ownership a bad **** '92 Subaru Legacy wagon in a couple days. Looks like a good beater. Helloooo ladies.....

Thumbs up

82' 928. Only 42000 original miles. Best go-kart ever. I may not get rid of it, still debating.

96 Honda Accord. I'm thinking of keeping it for a winter car. It's paid for and the insurance isn't that much.

Default undecided trade in/sell

Can't decide whether to trade in my 90 300ZX 2+2, with 70,000 miles or to sell it. I would probably only get $6000.00 or so for trade in(used cars are plentiful here in WA state) I could maybe get around $8000.00 for it if I sold it outright. It has been garaged and lady driven and well taken care of..I even have the original sticker that says $34,000 on it. I really don't enjoy selling cars...has anyone tried selling their cars on the internet via AUTO TRADER? There are alot of used 300ZX's on there. Anyone have any idea what the car is worth? Thanks in advance. I hope I get good news at the end of the month that my car will be here in august as I was originally told...ordered chrome silver touring, frost, splash guards, mats 5AT, I am still waiting impatiently..ordered 1/11/02

Default Car

97 Accord EX Coupe 5spd; lost my mind temporarily in June of 97 and traded my 91 White MR2 Turbo for a "sensible" commuter car. Spent $2000 to mod the suspension: Tokiko shocks, susp. techniques anti-roll bars, Nittos but kept the stock springs for a stock look; handled well but something was missing, spent $100 for a Neuspeed strut brace and got that magic when something comes together and is sublime. One of the best handling coupes I've ever driven and easy to drive in heavy traffic. Still an Accord, though, never modified the engine; dropin K&N filter, so 150 hp max on a 3000lb car. Considered a Japan spec Type R Accord engine witharound 195 or so hp but decided against it. I sold it last August to a Honda used car manager in a buying frenzy for 48% of the original purchase price. Did OK, I think.

Boomer--trivia for you older members; the US car mags used to ***** to high heaven about the euro sports cars' shift pattern(like Porsche), it was 1st gear down and to the left and was used only to launch the car from a dead stop instead of the usual shift pattern with 1st at the top left. Driving the Accord in heavy traffic, I found myself leaving the car in 2nd gear to inch along, and only used 1st when having to stop took me back to 1st gear. Given the heavy urban traffic in Europe way back when, creeping along in 2nd gear was the mode they used and why they located 1st down and to the left, I now believe. Maybe yes maybe no, but it sure sounded good when I started this long-winded post. Food for thought.

Hey Marc....definitely practice all aspects of firearm safety. No Weatherby's. Never have owned one although I'd love a .378 mag.

The three laying on the floor are .50 BMG. The top of the couch is a Winchester Defender and all the rest are WWII rifles.

I'm surprised CA hasn't banned .50 BMG's it seems like they've banned everything else. Nice collection by the way.

Thanks c350z - amazing, isn't it? We are hardly the "wild west".

There was a bill introduced a couple of months ago that would have effectively banned 50's here but it was "shot down"

Florida seems to be a very gun friendly state. One of my 50's was manufactured there:

Default Tell me about it

The gun laws in CA kept me from moving there. I could not believe the stuff they pull their on law abiding citizens exercising their constitutional rights. FL has very good laws and I enjoy the rights and responsibilities that come from them.

97 240SX, which I just paid off. Hoping to sell it in the next month rather than trade it in. Don't know if I'm right, but I have this feeling the dealerships aren't going to be giving very good trade-in values, since we've basically already bought the Z from them. Should get more from a private-party sale. In the short (hopefully) time between my 240SX sale and 350Z delivery, I'll be driving mom's 99 Sentra. Can't wait!!

Default Cars..

First car I got was a POS Nissan Sentra 94. 5spd and no power steering. Tinting on it was horrible, couldnt see out the windows. It was so hard driving a car w. no power steering. Got rid of that car and got a 92' Celica. Selling my car for the 03' Nissan 350Z. 20 years old, 3 cars and bougth them all myself.
