plenum spacer from motorydyne, test pipes, clutch/fllywheel, if they have emissions? high flow cats instead of test pipes. if your z is a base then a lsd, and a hid conversion kit. if hid then upgraded bulbs, tint, etc.

3.9 fd and a good diff., Nismo LMGT4 rims, Falken RT-615s, and Cusco sways. Stir well and hit the canyons. You'll get amazing bang for the buck in both acceleration and handling.

You should use your $4K as a down payment on a Z.

Lighter weight wheels with wider tires. Any 18" x 9.5" wide Volk forged monoblock design wheel would be decent. Some of the 19" wheels might also be lighter than the stockers. Plus the 19" wheels would look, like, sooooo cool : )

EDIT: I have about the same amount of 'play' money sitting around and one of my mental debates has been between spending most of it on a set of new summer wheels/tires, applying it towards the principal remaining on my car loan (for which I pay 5.54% APR interest), or invest it in a money market fund that is currently making about 10% per year? Decisions decisions...but if we are assuming that I was going to spend it all on the car, I would do wheels and tires. RE040 and Performance don't belong in the same paragraph.

Reverse Lambo doors. 22" Spinner wheels. What color is your Z? I suggest a color match underbody glow kit. Also, a matching tint job. That should run you up to about 4K, i would also suggest getting a "Z" tatoo with the money you have left over. You could get a speaker put into the hood that makes a blow off valve "whoosh" sound when you press a button. And when you are done, POST SOME PICTURES!!!!!

Full-coilover suspension, lightweight/staggered 18 or 19" wheels, tint, headers, plenum spacer, Techosquare Ecu Reflash, clutch/flywheel, test-pipes if you like loud(no emissions in hawaii), but they have a strict law in modifying your vehicle. PM me or the guys in the Pacific Regional forums for more info.
