You probably ought to ask your agent to find out for sure.

I was trying to steer him to the thread where it said to talk to your agent.... which is all of them......lol

In theory they would replace the CF hood since that is what is on the car at the time of the accident.
Big questions remain. Is the hood the only thing damaged? Does the hood cost more or less than your deductible? Are you going to be responsible for the deductible or not?

Either way you will be able to get a new CF hood. The insurance company will either buy you a new one, or pay to replace your OEM one. An OEM hood costs around $500 unpainted from Nissan, add paint and install to that and you've got the price of a CF hood. If you have a receipt for the hood most insurance companies will cover it. Some are **** about you telling them about new mods on the car so they can adjust your rates accordingly as your car now has a higher value.

They should restore the car to the condition it was in prior to the accident. If that included a CF hood, then they should replace/repair it.
Some insurance companies have different policies regarding aftermarket parts. Some things must be reported to them when they are installed, others aren't a problem. For example, my ins company (State Farm) wanted me to stop by with my Z so they could take pictures of my Volk wheels. That way if they get stolen, they have proof that I actually owned them
Unless you have a bunch of mods that are outrageously priced, it won't be a problem replacing them.

An CF Hood is Probably Cheaper for them to Pay For than the OEM hood ?? Agree the Insurance Company should replace it , and think that the Body Shop Should Work With You With Their Written Estimate ??

dont know what to tell you bro... but as far as i know.... as long as your mods are covered under your insurance then you should be fine and they'll get you a new one.... and if you got a PPW Z... its cheaper to get a CF hood any ways..... PPW paint = $200 for a 2pints or quarts.....

Is your insurance paying for this or is it from someone that hit you? If it's your insurance, you may get reimbursed for the OEM hood only unless you have aftermarket parts coverage.
If it's someone else's insurance they should restore it just as it was before the accident. If they do not, get an attorney.
Either way, with the $$ you should be able to get a new CF hood.. although after reading that other thread you may want to reconsider...lol...
