ok, ok, guys...
Will try again next Wed, and will ask for the time slips, I will go with my stock wheels and will post numbers...
Yes, I will keep my car, I dont care about the fast car, is about the look, and obviously I am getting it.
Why Not NOS? I could do better? WHY NOT?

That alone should get your times down signifigantly.
I'm not sure what pumpkin means either....but taking the words surrounding it and making an educated guess, I'd say that pumpkin means the transmission...stick vs. auto??? Correct me if I'm wrong...

If you want a "drag strip" car, go buy something else. If you enjoy being able to take 25 mph corners at 50, keep and enjoy the Z. The street drivable cars that post great 1/4 mile times usually don't have a rated top speed of 155+. Yes Virginia, there is a difference between a sports car and a dragster...

Compliments of Nowell:
Re: What does this mean, help!!!!
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The AT's come with taller gears. The pumpkin (rear differential) can be switched with one from a manual Z. Basically, what it all boils down to is this:
Manuals have a 3.3 gear pumpkin
Autos have 3.5 gear pumpkin
Most people that go FI, want the taller gears so they can stay in boost longer. Most people that have auto's that are NA want to get the 3.3 gearing because their car shifts faster, which gets them into their faster gears soon which = faster trap speed.
Just do a search on the forums for gear swaps, and youll get lots of good info for it. Usually you can find someone that has an FI set up that will just trade you outright. Takes about 1-2 hours to swap them and you both become faster.

ok, this is what I will buy for a nice mod... the crawford intake plenum VQ35 #16196 and buy from a friend his g35 differential, for a better and faster shifting, also that is dual tracktion.
Now my Q: is would the plenum give me some difference?
also Q: can I just swap in the full differential from a G35 to Z?
Also imjdoggie : I would thought the the 5AT has a 3.3 and the manual has 3.5 stock. so FI pple goes 3.9? please correct me if I am wrong!

Most autos have 3.3 FD unless they swapped to a 3.5 FD from a 6MT. In some cases switching the gear gave people 0.5 sec better times at the track
Oh and FI people dont go with a 3.9. They usually swap to a 3.3

it is when you take your deformed, oddly-shaped pumpkin and switch it with your neighbor's big, fat pumpkin (note that this can only be done during Halloween).
