I can't believe this. Have you read and watched reviews of the this 335i coupe?
It got stamped "Boring" from many of the drivers. It maybe fast and has the BMW badge, but has nowhere near the attitude, stance, and the Z is only gonna get better and better. I think it would be safe to say that next generation Z is gonna blow the 335i out the door.

i buy a bmw 335TT coupe (black though). this new Z looks to be the ****. totally unpretentious while at the same time screaming sports car. its flares and buldges tell us what it's really about, and it tell us well. i got sucked into the german world of engineering and refinement and abandoned the JDM world that I know and trust. just thought i'd share.
thanks guys.
you will be happy with your 335ci, just like I am happy with mine.

only turn-off's 'bout the 335i is that is has no LSD.

other than that with a tune they're getting 330whp/350wtq.

tuned by Vishnu though, so we'll see how long the car last at the power level ha

i've seen the engine bay, and i have a hard time figuring out where one, let along two, decently sized, let along large turbo(s) will fit in the bay...

BMW as well as other european manufacturers offer maintenance free cars for 60k miles if I'm not mistaken. My 06 Audi A4 has the same thing. I don't even pay for oil changes. Not a bad deal when you consider what parts cost.

I love BMW 3 Series in many ways. I hope it treats you well. But, you are taking a huge risk buy a brand new model/engine especially from BMW which has such a steller (insert sarcasm tone here) rep putting out highly stressed lightweight 6cyl engine that require super expensive oil to not blow up. BMW, especially 3 series are actually some of my favorite cars (despite my above comment). I just could never pony up to buy one, especially a new one that is unproven. They lost me big time with the M3 engine issue. I hear this new 6cyl is all new technology for them. DI, new block material (correct me if I am wrong), first turbo engine in decades (besides the Turbo Diesels in Europe). All the above makes me very nervous. Hope you got the extended warranty. I do hope you have good luck with the car. BMW packages up a very nice product. Weight distribution is excellent on all of them, they are fun to play with on the roadcourses as well. I will stick with cheaper JDM products that is easier on my worry button and pocket book. It will be interesting to see how this new 335 turns out. Once I heard BMW was doing that I thought “A NA M3 is going to be a tougher sell to some in the performance crowd with all the potential bottled up in a 6cyl Turbo 3 series. Time with tell. I wonder how much HP the new M3 will have when it comes out?

the 335i engine is different from the one in new 330i. I think 335i still use current M3 engine M54 (N54 for 335i) which is allumium block, but 330i use the new N52 engine with aluminum-magnesium block. but i don't know what difference between them.

Just recently, My boss bought a Mercedes 2007 S550 for #$%#$%, and he wanted to trade in his 1997 Mercedes S500 with only 40,000 miles (one of the lowest in the country). Guess what the dealership gave for his trade-in value? $8,000 for a $80,000 car when he bought it in 1996 brand new.... so you might as well drive it like hell on the BMW because no matter if you keep it immaculately, or as a beater, you'll lose more than you know. Since your here, let me advise you, make sure you have your warranty for more than 3 years because you'll need it (a household formerly with 530i). My friend tried to get me in a M3 since he is someone vitally important at a BMW dealership, but why???? I can have a Z, and a few other toys that is more fun than your branded car. 335i is not a Porsche, impress us, not infuriate us.

PS: My friend is still with the old and new Benz.

It's kinda funny. Domestic buyers wonder why people would pay more for a jdm import, import buyers wonder why people would pay more for the german cars (and put up with the hassel). In the end we all want to drive Italian sport cars for the price of a domestic

The 335i only comes in Coupe and sedan. No convertible option available.

Nice choice. These are just as quick as a E46 M3 minus the harsh ride quality. And being turbocharged only means better response to mods.
