Well It finally snowed today and instead of taking out the STi, I decided to drive the Z.. WITH THE STOCK TIRES NONETHELESS!
So I go easy and I'm fine.. Small bridge coming up on base and I shift from 2nd to 3rd at 20mph and as soon as I let the clutch out, BAM the car goes to the left and I'm looking at a car coming towards me through the passenger window.
I counter steered and it swings back around and now the on coming car is car is getting close so I let the steering wheel do it's own thing and it slowly straightened up... Thank god the guy coming from the other direction slowed down and my ability to actually drive saved my @$$... Driving the STi till the ice and snow goes away......

I have the Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3 tires on my 03 Z and it's night and day compared to the stock tires. Softer ride, better handing, and awesome wet and even decent snow traction. Not alot of snow here in the ATL but the few times I have had the Z out in ice/snow I never had one problem since getting the F1's. The 1st winter I had my Z with it's crappy stock tires, it would slide out on wet/icy pavement even with the VDC on. I highly recommend the Goodyear F1's for the Z, truly amazing difference from stock.
20mph is flirting with death...
Is it standard procedure to execute a poor shift over a bridge that could be slick?
Sounds like he over-corrected and only managed to straighten out by the grace of god.
I would not be touting driving skills. How old are you tyler?

Snow what's that??? I just took the Z for a cruise. It's a breezy 78 degrees here in Tampa without a cloud in the sky.
J/k
I've only drivn in snow once in my life. It was last feb. in the adirondack's. I was in a rented sentra and the only scary thing was everone else on the road, driving like maniacs

You jerk. I wish it was 78 degrees. Its about 28 degrees, but atleast no snow. There is a rule for me though. "No driving the Z in the snow because I do not have the tires or car to do it.!" You should have just driven the STI.
Why would you drive the Z, if you have an STI in the garage/driveway of yours?

Because It was only light snow and I wanted to see how bad the traction was...
