Why do people come with these stupid remarks? You don't even know how fast the Evo X is (no one does) but you're so sure of this.

One can say the same damn thing too... for the money you spend on a twin setup for the Z, I can put a 35R AND build the engine of an Evo.

It's rediculous trying to compare them. The OP didn't ask anything about that anyways... he's talking from the factory.

OP, get the '07 Z. The Evo X won't be out for a while.

You are looking to mod? Umm, yea, get the Evo. Not only will it be nearly a full second faster in stock form than the Z, it wont cost you many thousands to get big power out of it.

Anyway, OP, if you're just looking for straight up performance out of the box and cheap to mod, get the X. If you're looking for an all-around gorgeous vehicle with class but is a little more costly to mod for lots of power, get the Z. Personally, I will be going with the Z. Although I love my Prelude, I want to know what it's like to have 1.3L more displacement
oh man you better tell me abuot your prelude compare your z,because i want to get a z,but my prelude block my purchase

are you going to mod or race people? Wear your hat side ways? Perhaps sag your pants a little bit? If yes, get an evo.

Would you like to drive around in a great looking sportscar? One that looks more exotic than $60,000 luxury cars? Do you disdain wearing baseball caps sideways? Or don't wear baseball caps all together? Get a Z.

The Roadster is just Horribly Ugly ((NO Offense to Roadster guys))

So go with the EVO, plaus the Z is slow, if your looking for power.

"I own a Z" Its not fast, If you guys think its fast. Your last car must of been a Honda Civic EX, or something.
What the Hell your doing in 350z forum bashing 350z's? you don't belong here this forum for 350z enthusiast. by the way my last car is not a ricer

Nice try... why don't you give me the pricing on one of those... can't, can you? I was comparing the prices NOW to the person who said a new Evo costs $35k.

LOL... I wore my hat the same way when I had my Z. I know plenty of people that do. Nice try trying to stereotype.

EVO's perform very well all around, but remember its based on a Lancer body. Nonetheless, they are VERY capable cars in road-racing, auto-crossing, or drag-racing. Obviously they are quick on the street too, but I don't condone that type of behavior.

Z's honestly are the same. They perform well, with the cars being able to hit mid-to-high 13's stock, good handling from the factory, and dead sexy looks (I think this is one area where the Z really shines against the EVO).

My suggestion is to wait and check out both. 2007's will have the new hood bump and also the new VQ35HR putting out 306 HP revving to 7500 RPM's. The EVO X's should be around the same figure, but AWD. I suggest going to dealers, taking each for a test drive, seeing the interior/exterior of both, and make a decsion based on which you like better.

It humors me how b00b00 says the Z isn't fast, yet when I go to the drag strip I constantly see people running 14's and **** with the EVO's and Sti's. The CAR is fast, but you have a be at least a somewhat good DRIVER to be able to harness it.
Stock for stock, Z's and EVO's aren't too far off in terms of performance. After modding, its a different story though.

Exo X is actually 320 hp and 325 tq That 325 tq being the key, thats more than the new Mustang GTs, that thing is gonna pull like an SOB. Rumors are it will be good for 0-60 mph in the mid 4s with a 1/4 mile right around 13 flat. Throw in the SMG tranny and I wouldnt be surprised to see it running high 12s with a good driver in stock form. Thats one sexy 4 banger

If you only care about speed, then get the EVO.
If you wanna cruise around in style, and have a nice all around car, then the Z.

I've had my eye on the Evo X for a while now after i sold my z but its just taking to long to come out. Where are people getting these HP and TQ numbers for the X? Are they confirmed or just rumors? Everyone just assumes the car will be as tunable as the current evo. This car will be completly new with a new engine, i wouldn't count on anything. Look what mitsu did to the eclipse back in the day.

Actually now that I look again, those are reported numbers, 320 hp/325 tq. Thats what everyone is saying from Edmunds to R&T and everyone else so thats a safe bet. Expecting mid 4s 0-60 and high 12s to 13 flat in the 1/4 mile. Just as Nissan is leaving room to tune the GT-R, you can bet Mitsubishi is leaving room to tune the new Evo.

How is it taking too long to come out? It's not supposed to be for sale until next year. I'd understand you saying that if it was supposed to be out months ago.

It already does that now. High 12's@106 in stock form are not uncommon, and it runs 0-60 around 4.5. I personnaly don't trust that tranny they're putting in... once the power is upped, that thing's gonna pop.

That all depends on what the "terms of performance" are... quarter and 0-60 belong to the Evo. Since the '06 Z's came out the change in tires really closed the gap in the handling area between the two, with the Evo having the advantage before. The Z used to own on the top end, but the Evo IX has closed that gap so now it can take a Z from a highway roll.

I 100% agree about the looks... the Z definately has the win there... but the Evo is not ugly by any means. But that's not really a term of performance.

E-racing rules!
If i were you, i would just wait for the new evo to come out and drive it. The nissan place by my house got their 07 Zs yesterday. So if you can, why not just look into those. On the other hand, the new Z looks great and drives excellent, you may end up just buying the damn thing there and then, so i guess if you really want an unbiased opinion, just wait for the new X. And make a rational decision, see if you need a four door sedan or if you want a two door sports car.

I would just give up now. Soon they will be calling you a troll and get all huffy puffy cause they THINK your attacking the beloved Z. Simple fact is that no one knows what the 10 is all about yet, its all speculation thus far. If you do a little research you will see what the evo ix is capable of compared to other cars and Im sure that mitsu isnt going to down grade performance so it should be dam potent. AND hwatever you do DO NOT make the mistake of calling the z a poor mans g35. lol it doesnt go over very well around here.
