Default Leaving the Forum-Saying my goodbye

I was involved in an accident on December 30th, My Z was decalred totaled after a few weeks. After thinking long and hard about getting another Z, Ive decided to get a Jeep Wrangler.

Before everyone jokes, I live in the Northeast, and the weather has been getting cold. I will always have the option to sell the wrangler when the weather warms up a bit.

Till than, Im thinking about an 02 wrangler X. Its selling for 12K with only 28,000 miles on it. I will miss the fun ive had with a lot of the members here, And im thinking I will get a Z again within the next 1 1/2 years.

Right now Im also in the process of moving out and the money im saving on the jeep with payments and insurance is substantial. And not to mention the safety in the snow. Thanks for all help and advice. I have for sale some of my parts so take a look and PM me.

Your guys are all awesome. except Hraesvelg. (jk your cool to bro)

Ewe.. ouch. That sounds like a decent deal on the jeep. Pay it off quick so you can get another Z.

I would much rather drive a Jeep than a 350Z in 6-inches of snow. Come back with a 2009 350Z.

Its a totally different beast. I suggest driving the wrangler for a day before making a purchase. Its pretty harsh and depending on the motor, its def. not gonna feel anywhere as quick as the nissan. Plus with the X, its stripped to the bone compared to the Z.

Yea im not expecting a Z ride. lol. Its only 190 HP. The X has leather and im not to picky about ride quality. I just enjoy driving.

In your situation, I think you made a good decision. Once things get settled you can look again at a Z and also have that Jeep for the winters. Best of luck to you.

I live in the northwest too. You definitely need a p.o.s. to drive in the winter. I have mine mainly for all of the damn sand that stays on the roads for weeks after a snow.

A Jeep, or any 4x4, is a better choice for the climate. Jeeps are pretty cool. I would get a Bronco myself, or something with all-time AWD, if I lived in snowy conditions.
