you should really look into that before posting.
the ls7 is not a heavy motor.

the swap can most defenitley be done. post a bunch after you have it done.
if you want to sell your vq engine/tranny/harness/clutch interlock/ecu/dash harness/key recogntion thing, etc.....
let me know your price. at the very least lemme know what you want for the trans.

hes not talking about the weight of the engine... hes talking about the curb weight of the car... the z body is portly at best. but I still think the LS7 would be a great addition to it....

Edit:
Cam, Shorty headers, 3" exhaust, Intake, tune... 500+ whp NA is nioce.

Ditch the Ls7 and buy a RB if you want to do a swap. I cant stand when people put american parts into a japanese car.

we can sell you just about all the parts you would need to have a running titan engine in your car. aside from the mounts and few other details that any fabricator should be able to handle. trust me it was not an easy swap, i have done many random swaps before, this was the hardest.

Again, long story short, I can't find anyone that is doing this yet. For all I know, it may not even be possible.

Can anyone help here? I have a brand new Vet motor sitting in my garage with no engine bay to call home.

You've been added to my buddy list

Since I'm new here, I'll keep it civil.

and my background involves a lot with LSX engines. I would love to help out with any advice I can give, but at this point, not much can really be said since I haven't dug into the Z yet.

Cool ideas, but I think you'd be better off putting it in a vette. I'd rather have a chasis designed for the motor I have instead of converting. If you just want the "wow" factor...I understand....but to me...the VQ is more than capable. Plus you have an 06...if I was stuck on doing it...I'd buy a second car to throw it in and keep the new car new. lol.

It really depends on how far he wants to take it. It would be more cost effective and headache free to beef out a vq, Being a LSX guy, I would go nuts if I saw an ls7 in a 350z. This would be a dream project for the shop I used to work for.

I have an spare engine from a V2 rocket sitting in my garage that I am considering putting in my Z. Can this be done? Seriously people I see more than threads on "can x go in y if you use z to accomplish it" than 350z vs rsx. All this ends up being is forum talk. I cant wait for someone to prove me wrong by actually doing it though.

He need to start posting up pics.

I am losing faith. Ill know he's serious when i see an empty engine bay in a Z and a LS7 sitting next to it. But statistically speaking only a small percentage of people ever finish porjects of this magnitude.

The swap and was twisting off drive axles so up graded to 760i(v12 axles/ thicker) and was in da car 4-5 months back when we SMOKED a gsx-r 1000...Not off da line but end of 2nd bike was bye-bye...Car does like 80+mph in 1st and 140+ in 2nd....Has 6 spd gear box..
