lol!! damn stock wheels!! why buy stock wheels from someone else (unless you sold or damaged yours and needed them back) why not get some nice wheels the first time around instead of being half a$$! if you put track wheels on and don't have a track model then derrrrrr we can see you dont have brembos and the car isn't a track model!! ughhhhh just ranting, $500.00 should be the max price for any set of stock wheels and tires ever made!

as a matter of fact here is a full set for $500.00 right now https://my350z.com/forum/mid-atlantic/245174-local-sale-oe-track-wheels.html

I don't necessary agree with that argument. If someone likes a certain type of wheel and it serves their purpose then by all means that is their choice. For example the stock optional 19s on the G and the 06+ Track Z 18/19 combo are very much sought after by Z owners. Why? Because they're made by RAYS, Forged (hence ultra-lightweight), and looks great. Not everyone have the money to fork out let's say 3 grand (or more) for VOLKS. If you can spend less for kick *** rims made by the same company (RAYS)

In my 4 years of modifying cars I have learn 1 thing - When in doubt - OEM is best.

Don't know if anyone would agree with me but that's my take. As for these 03-05 Track rims - they are overpriced and if anyone don't do their research and buy them for that it's a shame.

^^I agree. Some stock wheels are tight. I know the Vdub guys go crazy over the Porsche BBS "twist" wheels. But this guy is playing these things up. I just haven't seen anyone else claim $500 a piece for the schitenzas before. You can pick up a set of enthusiast rims and schitenzas for less than that.

The G35 rims on a Z look good and the 06/07 rims are a vast improvement over typical OEM rims. I wouldn't say that upgrading to better stock wheels is a bad thing if that's what you like.

I can pretty much spot the stock wheels instantly, it does nothing for me... you see the cars everday with the stockers...

And you certainly are entitled to your opinion. That's what makes it so great. I love that part of the car community. Everyone is different and it makes it easier for me to find the part that I want. Just like the G wheels I bought recently, I'm extremely happy to find them at an incredible price - and the previous owner was happy to get rid of them. It works out both ways.

Those were the going rate back in 2003! I should know I bought a set of Track Rays for $1500 and sold them 6 months later for $1500!

If his friend is a fool and throws out his brand new Armani shoes then why not buy them? And individuality, when it comes to cars, cannot be based on a single factor. You have to base it on the car as a whole.

Let me tell you this. You know what really gets the edge in this world, it's not knowing what's in the present but it's knowing the past. Classics will always be classics in the past/present/and future - you just can't go wrong - while trends comes and goes - that's what really sets you apart.
