can you reverse park?
I have revese-parked for years; it's just an old habit. My current driveway's entrance is about 8 feet to the left of the garage, and the driveway is at a steep incline, so you have to turn to the left at entrance and cut sharply right a few feet from the garage door while climbing backwards to straighten up and land in just the right spot; kinda comical to an observer. Try that at night!
In my case it makes exiting the garage a lot easier as a straight reverse would hit our fire hydrant squarely in the mid of the rear bumper.
Just keep practicing. Habits, once formed, are there for life.

For those that are having trouble parking in reverse, may I suggest buying the little antennae like curb feelers for the fenders, a rear camera to monitor have much space is left in back, and for other's safety, one of those big vehicle alarms that beep when you put your tranny in reverse. The good news is practice will make it seem second nature. I thank God you don't have to deal with a trailer.
Try a 30ft LVS with a 40ft trailer on the back. That's 4 drive axles, a hydraulically actuated joint, AND THEN a 40ft gooseneck trailer. Oh yeah, and you have to park it with all 7 axles lined up between cones that are perfectly straight, 6 inches from the tires.
oorah Motor-T. I never had to drive that truck after MOS school though. Just hummvees. Rally corners in a hummer. That's fun.
