3k down isnt bad... but yes you car payment is going to be higher... and if you need to sell the car fast it may be hard to break even.. (you will probably be underneath it) as it seems a lot of people are these days.

Like the other guy said closer to 600month for the 07. In your case, they will probably give a great deal on an 06. I still get calls from this dealership wanting to sell me one of their 06's on the lot. The more days its been there, the more they will work with you. I'll probably be getting an 06 in a few months as I try to pay off the loan a little more.

If I were you:
07=Trade in Cl-S to get a better downpayment and monthly payment amount
06=save up 5k for down and get that 450-500mon.

I dont know about you but I think buying a used Z for tight budgets are much better. I only wanted about $350ish in payment and I downed 7k to get and '03 Z making $310 payments every month. I think that's a lot more comfortable and the extra money is nice to use to mod the Z. Plus, having the first edition 350z is kinda special. =D hehe just think of it in whatever way to make you feel good but ultimately the best feeling is knowing you can easily make monthly payments

no wonder i always hear "stealerships". basic rule of thumb is $20 per thousand you borrow (@ 8% intrest) if you credit is as good as say it is you should be able to get a lot better financing. i got my '06 enthusaist with no money down kinda, $1.5k trade-in(positive) n my payments are $512 for 60 months. hope that helps some
