Default How come the 350Z isn't supercar?

Don't you guy think that it kindda funny? In the past 300ZX are consider a japanese super car along with '93+ Supra TT, 3000GT, '93+ RX-7 TT. I'm not including GT-Rs, Evo, and Sti of the past because they are not available in US. But back then, those cars are a "wow". Today with 350z and Rx-8, they consider more like a sport car.

However, the NSX still consider a japanese supercar from then 'till now.

Uh, I wouldn't classify any of those as supercars. Maybe my standards are too high?

I consider the 350z with any type of forced induction is a supercar.

Price, the supra and 300zx, were mid 40's back then.

Well, most of those cars you listed are discontinued and rare to find in good shape nowadays. The 350z is still in production and running strong. Now if they discontinued the Zed that would be a different story.

I consider the Ferraris, Lambos, Carrera GTs, Ford GT's all supercars, but not a V6 high 20K car a super car. After all a SRT4 is quicker.

Err...may be it isn't called a Supercar because it isn't one?

Buy an F430 and call it whatever you want.

I've heard people call those cars Japanese supercars and exotics b4. I think it's a bit exaggerated. But if I had to guess why people aren't putting the 350Z up there with those cars, it'd be b/c of the lack of turbo(s). Nowadays, people don't really respect you unless you have turbo. I'd consider all of those cars listed as high end sports cars. Not supercars.

if it makes ya feel any better it is considered a supercar on this forum: www.jdmsupercars.com Its not that big of a forum tho, and i think most of the members on there own Skylines and supras. A lot of them are from austrailia too for some reason. Prolly cuz the skyline is available there. who knows
