Default Hi again everyone

Hi again everyone,

Well I know i posted a while back how it was not possible for me to get a 350z due to my parent's situation, but it seems like that situation changed. I began school at the Alabama School of Mathematics and Science in August, and if I keep on the road I'm going, I'll definately get a really good scholarship. (Will continue on until I get my PhD. like my sister., and then can do good for myself, then get married, have kids, and go from there) I guess that made the difference in the end, and my parents finally told me after my last report card that if I kept it up, they'd do all they can to get the Z for me. It felt good to hear them say that, but I told them not to worry anymore, and I'd stop worrying them about it. I love the car alot, but you know that's alot of money, and I'd much rather see them not having to worry about bills or being in debt. I would also rather see them in a new automobile in a couple of years. My dad works hard everyday, and my mom has retired from Scott Paper after working there for 25 years. I really believe they would deserve something of that calibur more than I do, and everything I am doing now in school is for my benefit in the end, not my parents and I realize that. I'll finally be able to get a real job in May, and I've already spoken to my uncle about getting hired on with him this summer. He told me that I could work 40 hours a week. which I think is really good. I'll be able to pay for all of my school supplies, clothes for the new year, and anything else I may need, and put some back for a car. I told my dad to lower my allowance from $25 to $10 so that he could put that extra $60 a month towards something else. My sister's wedding is gonna cost a good amount (she's paying for most of it, but every little bit counts), and I really don't need $25 a week living at school 5 days during the week, with food paid for. I'm hoping to be able to get something reasonably nice that I can pay for the most part on my own. I think it's best if I stop worrying about the Z. Unless I can pay for it, I don't want that amount of money spent by my parents on me. Like I said, in the end everything I do for me is for me, and not for my parents. They have done enough for me since 1991. I think love, respect, and trust is all that I really deserve from them. I feel as if everyone likes to read a nice explanation and story other than mods and stuff once in a while, and i felt like i should just give a last update.

Thanks everyone, ZantiZipationZ

You said last year when you were 15, that your parents would not allow you to have a 350Z until you were 19. In a couple of years, post pics of your Z. Good luck!

If anybody flames him, I hope you die in a fire.

Besides that, I think you do have your head in the right place. I wish you the best of luck on getting your Z. In the end you will enjoy it that much more if YOU worked for it and YOU paid for it. You dont seem greedy, and you seem to want to help others. That is a trait that you cant teach a person, I am sure you will go far in life. Good luck on getting the Z and everything else you desire.

Good luck man. You sound like an great kid. I am sure you will one day get your car and you will really appreciate it. It always means more when you buy it yourself. Trust me, I was in the same boat many years ago. Peace

Yea even though you dont own one. Stop on in.

You got your priorities straight and that is all that matters in life. Wait until you can afford that expense on your own and then you will truely appreciate your car. Maybe even name the thing. But most kids your age def. dont have their head leveled like you, and most still think in the stratosphere.

Good luck with the PHD, with that you can afford the car of your dreams.

You got it down right but don't think that owning a Z in college is impossible. I work part time as a Leasing Consultant right now while attending the University of Washington (PoliSci). Paying my own tuition and working to pay off the car isn't too hard. It's a lot of work but it's possible and driving the Z every day makes me feel that it's all worth the work. Goodluck with everything.

i agree with Def946
"You got your priorities straight and that is all that matters in life"

Also i got my Z 5 months ago and im only 19.
like AlvinHuyn said going to school and also working to pay the car off is possible. It is a lot of work but at the end its all worth it.

you will go far in life if you keep this attitude up.

Good Luck With School
Hope your dreams of owning a Z will come true on day.

T.J,

You, my friend, are on the right track! If you continue this mindset in regards to school/work/family and pursue that PhD, I wouldn't be surprised if you have a Ferrari in your garage one day, let a lone a Z.

Keep up that mindset and get that PhD, I'm confident you'll have an exotic car in your garage! Your family should be pround
