A few people who didn't know what it was and approached me said that it looked a lot like a Porsche. I see the similarities, but then again I can see the similiarities to an Audi TT.

Still, Nissan's styling in bringing back a legendary car are amazing. Whereas all the "retro" comebacks are getting annoying, the Z is amazingly fresh.

no doubt it looks simmilar, and has simmilar lines. But, upclose, the Porsche is much nicer, and much higher quality, obviously, you get what you pay for. I for one think we got a great deal!

those are my 2 favorite cars (the 911 in the C4S variety). they are VERY VERY similar in size (read the specs sometime), I even had a patient tell me that he calls it a "japanese porsche". for the $ the Z is a GREAT piece, not to the level of a 911, but the fact that you could own 2 touring/tracks for less than 1 911 is amazing.

the lines are similar, yet there are some huge differences as well, but the soft rearend and the hood line are similar.

That's the 996 style 911 right? I actally think the Z's styling looks much better than that version.

I personally prefer the previous style Porsche (993 I think) when they were still air/oil cooled. It's the outrageous fender flares on the Porsche and the headlights along with the C Pillar that were so distinctive, and I feel the latest 911 lost those styling ques.

The Z has pretty distinctive flares, which I think is why many people think it looks porsche-like. I also really like the very short overhangs of the Z, which make it look very well balanced and centered.

I sure wouldn't turn down a new 911 though.

you should check out the 996 carrera4S, it has THE wide fender flares and looks better.

The cool part is that if you took HALF the price difference between a base Z and a 911, and dumped that figure into performance goodies for the Z, it would stomp a 911's @$$! I would still love to have a 911 tho.

Damn! That is one FINE looking 996!

I sure wish that my car looked that good.

Wait a minute.....Oh, yeah. That IS my car.

That picture was taken up at my families ranch a couple of weeks back. The Z parked next to me is a Track edition, and looks damn good with those wheels. The guy who owns it, KC, has put a lot of money into the stereo, and even has LCD movie screens imbedded in his sun visors.

Here's some more:

There is a lot of similarity between the two, especially around the 'C' pillar and the *** end.

I checked, but I couldn't find an engine in the back of the Z.

I am expecting people to mistake my Z for a Porsche, once they find out that I paid less than half they are more than likely going to **** a brick! I just love the Z.
