Looks real nice, I'm still kinda confused as to why people are selling their older 350z's (2-3 years old) only to purchase a newer ones. Seems like somewhat of a waste of money. I donno though, whatever floats your boat. Enjoy the 07 looks awesome.

gear ratios
From RSsports on the 07: "The manual transmission features close-ratio gearing from 1st to 5th speed ranges for high-performance driving and an overdrive 6th speed for long-legged highway fuel economy and reduced engine noise."
Is this a change from previous years? Please post the ratios on your blue beast.

Someone asked if the rear bumper is lighter than the rear quarter. No, that is the angle and the lighting - but the thing is, this color changes colors drastically in different lighting! It's not like the Interlagos Fire changing colors, but at times it passes for black and at other times it's clearly blue. I just drove back to the dealership to finalize some paperwork and a salesman asked if that was me in the black Z
The drive is pure sweetness, but the rev-up is new to me. I do seem to notice the loss of low end torque, but then it rockets (I mean ROCKETS) away at 3000 RPM. It's like you get a rubberband slingshot effect!
Only complaint is the sound. I was cruisin' along today when a Lotus Elise passed me and that thing was screamin! - sounded like an F430. The Z sounds pretty tame with the stock intakes (plural!) compared to my '04 with the JWT popcharger.

I think these are the correct ratios for Firebird and 03-07 350Z's
1998 Firebird Formula/ 2004 350Z
2.66 / 3.79 (35) 1st
1.78 / 2.32 (60) 2nd
1.3 / 1.69 (85) 3rd
1 / 1.27 4th
0.74 / 1 5th
0.5 / 0.79 6th

Really noticed the addition of the TCS driving around in the rain.
The color is so sweet! I put in a picture of the paint up close - it's definitely metallic. When I showed it to a friend last night he said, "I can't tell what color it is. Is it black??" Looks black at times, even during the day. I loved my Daytona Blue 2004 - got lots of compliments on that color, but it was just time for a change. So glad they came out with this color - but I don't really recommend it to anyone. It'll be too hard to keep clean. You're all probably better off with Red. Just kidding, I want to be the only one with a Z this color like I get to be for the next few weeks until they start popping up all over.
Pics attached - not sure how to put them in the message.

Well the lease was up on my old one - one of the nice parts of a lease, easy to switch cars every 3 years.
FYI, Got this response back from JWT when I emailed them about two pop chargers:
I believe your Z has the new HR engine with the two filter boxes. If
your
2007 350Z has a single air filter box and single throttle body then our
JWT
Pop Charger system will work on your model as a direct bolt-on part.
If
your Z has the new dual throttle design with two air filter boxes then
we
do not make a Pop Charger yet for this and might have this later this
year.
Best regards,
