Default Whats the point in getting a 350z???

I am looking into getting a "sports" car, but looking at the specs between the G35 4 DOOR and the 350z the specs and performance is the SAME! Only the G35 is more quiet and luxuries.

2007 G35 2007 350z

HP 306HP 306HP
Torque 268Lbs-ft 268Lbs-ft
WEIGHT 3583lbs 3405lbs
Handling 87g 88g
brakes 160ft 161ft
0-60mph 5.2 ?? 5.8 for 2006
0-100mph 13.1 ?? 13.9 for 2006
70mph 67db 72db

I like how the 350z looks, but after doing alot of research on the car it seems like instead of nissan taking off weight, they have been putting it on each year! making it slower and slower each year!!! I didnt find the accelration specs for the 2007 350z, but my guess it should be 5.1sec from 0 to 60mph????

ur comparing the two cars, but you didn't tell us which numbers are which...?? and the z and the g35 look completely different. you have to decide whether you want a raw sports car or the luxurious version for 7-10k more.

2 door sports car VS a sedan, if you want quiet and a smooth ride you do not want a sports car.

Geez, folks, give the guy a break; its a legit question.

IMO, the Z has a "rawer" edge and tighter suspension while the G 35 is a more refined vehicle.

Go drive both & see which fits you better. I like the Z better but a large part is the looks. Car performs great but I was sold on looks the first time I saw it.

^^^True, it's all about the look you want. G's are great but the Z has the look I want.
