Anyone know if the Side Airbags/Head Curtain is useful or desirable. I'm going with the Touring package and adding the side air bags with jack up my monthly payments but if it can save my life, it's worthwhile! Anyone know the deal with side airbags?
Also, why doesn't the Automatics come with 18" wheels?

 

The airbags are supposed to keep your head from smacking into various parts of the car, like the windows. For about 600.00 that sounds like a good deal. It's kinda like insurance. You pay for it every month and hope you don't need it. But if you ever do it's worth every penny.

I chose the side/curtain air bags. Anything that can keep me alive in an accident is worth every penny. The "Z" is such a small car and from the photo's of various "Z"'s" that have been in accidents, $560 is a small price to pay for the protection. As for the 18" wheels, I have no idea whay Nissan chose not to offer them on the automatic's..
