Default 07 owners.......0-60 times

Since the 07 G35's have been out there have been numerous test of the 0-60. I was blown away by a google search with numbers between 5.2 6MT & 5.6 5AT. I understand this is with a professional driver but wondering if any 07 350 owners have one of those onboard computers that measures your 0-60. Just curious what the average joe is doing 0-60wise in the new VQ35HR. Not magazine racing just wondering. I'm a good stick driver but doubt I could even get the lighter Z to 60 in 5.2 seconds.

As a new '07 driver, I can only tell you there is only 1 shift between 0 and 60 ++. But I don't know a time - yet...

I wont say 4.9... But I think a 5.2 is EASILY achieved. In the 2 runs to 60 I have done. But as said before it is only 1 shift.

I'm thinking a professional driver will get the 6MT to a 5.1 if the G35 is doing 5.2. And with that said I couldn't see the 5AT being any slower than a 5.5. It'll be intersesting. Pretty impressive since the old skyline, Supra TT are both in the 5.1- 5.3 area.

2nd goes to 60 now?

Did they change the gearing or is it because of the extra revs?

Well duh yeah with an auto obviously you wouldnt have to shift as much due to 5 gears and wider ratios.

Im trying to figure out what the deal is with one shift to 60MPH in the 2007. Dont all manual Z's do that? Mine does. Personally i get about 43MPH in first, 64MPH in second, 92MPH in 3rd.....

Shouldn't you 07 guys be breaking your cars in? If you're doing 0-60 in one shift you are def going past 4k rpm.

there is more than just 1 "right way" to break in a car. I broke in the car for hte first 500miles according to what the manual says. Now im doing it my way :-)

If you break the car in really light and not hard and like a vagina, its gonna want to be driven like that.

wow...this is the most misinformed thread i've read in awhile....

i'll start out with two corrections....

all 350z's go past 60 mph with one shift and one g35 sedan platform is available in AWD...the rest are rear wheel drive.
