Default Z = children's fantasy

This morning I drove into my local shopping mall to get some Starbucks.
There were some pedestrians in front of me(a group of family), so I of course
stop and let them pass.
One of them was a little kit about 6 years old, and upon seeing my Z
the kid screams out in excitement, "THAT'S A FAST CAR! THAT'S A FAST CAR!"

Tonight, I was walking back to my car after work, and there was this
kid about 5 years old with his mom near my Z.
The kid walks up to my Z, stairs at it for a minute(thank God he didn't touch it lol)
and tells his mommy, "Mommy, I want this car!"

Over the last year and a half of owning my Z, I've received many compliments
from grown males and females, but I must say it feels better to be
complimented by pure, little children.
I thought this kind of thing only happens to supercars, but today proved me wrong.
Just thought I would share

Thats awesome dude...

I think its more rewarding because there little kids that no nothing about cars and a Z really catches there eyes even though there just wee little lads...

What can we say the 350 is perfect everything about its styling is perfect...

Lot of kids have done that with my car. It's primarily kids and old folks.

Actually I get a lot of compliments from older guys who are familar with the evolution of the Z. Many of them tell me Nissan really did it right on the styling and design.

it's oddly true.

the Z's styling and design elements tend to invoke an instinctive response that children easily respond to as desirable and fast. one of my coworker's kids always stands and stares at my car when she brings him by the office and she tells me that her son wishes to have my car when he grows up lol

LOL. Kids are unpretentious. They are performance-dumb, but know what they like. And the 350Z is at the top of their list.

Mason Dixon Dragway, MD 07/2004

I raced with a friend (superXracing) driving this red 350Z. The kids in the stands could have cared less about the 9 and 10 seconds cars. They were in awe of the 350Z.

It's cool when it's a little kid saying it, because everyone knows they speak their minds.

I get it a lot in the Evo... "MOMMY LOOK!!! It's a RACE CAR!!!"

Tony (makes me smile/laugh all the time)

Kids certainly go crazy everytime they see my car.
I was driving past a Canadian Tire and this little guy was holding his moms hand as he walked past on the side walk. His head was on a swivel and eventually he was being dragged backwards. I gave the car a rev and he broke free and started jumping up and down.

I had my Z parked at my friends one time and we were about to head out to the movies. This family was out for a walk and they had like a 4 or 5 year old kid. As they walk by my car, the kid goes straight up to my door and tries to open it!! I stood on my friends lawn staring in shock...i was tempted to push the panic button...but I was like...he's 5..whats he gonna do...hot wire my Z, clutch in, shift to 1st and go? hahahah. That would have been something..but it was funny none the less. I've gotten gawks from kids before...its amusing and i don't mind it

I have posted here before about the awestruck reaction kids have shown the Z. It was quite a surprise for me. I guess coming from an old Maxima, I didn't really know what to expect.

** Two 8-10 year olds followed me on their bikes into a gas station right outside our condo complex, made circles around the Z as I filled-up, with big smiles and shouts of "sweeeeeeeeet car....oh my God!".

** Another one once told me with a big smile that it was "waaaay cooler than (his mom's) black S2K."

** I have passed others cars and SUVs so many times on the highway here in Denver where the kids on the backseat would turn and move their heads in tune with the Z passing them by with fingers planted into the window and big smiles.

** At an ATM, while parallel to a red traffic light, a little girl in a minivan pointed wildly at the Z and said something to a lady in the driver's seat who smiled and nodded while saying something and looking at the Z.

I swear everytime I see something like that I wish more than anything else that I could hear the conversations...

Yeah, kids love my car! Its cool that they do. I pick up my little brother from his school sometimes I hear lots of "wow nice car dude!" "that is sweet" "what car is that??" ...its funny. I also notice kids in other cars staring at me a lot when driving.

Regardless of performance the Z is undoubtedly one the best looking cars on the road. I think it is the best looking.

I've noticed that also.
It's funny because they also keep staring at the headlights(06), lol!
