Default Hydroplaned!

Yesterday was ridiculous. I was on my way to school and making a left. The road was wet and I hydroplaned. My car did a 360 went on to the sidewalk and into the grass. It was 2 ft away from an eletrical pole and 1 ft away from my school fence. If it wasnt for the wet grass stopping my car I dont know what i would do. My car dosent have one scratch on it and it drive perfectly normal like it never happend. I lucked out on that.. The only bad part is everyone at school saw it happend but other then that its good im safe and my car is fine.

What model is your car? Did you have your TCS/VDC on? Stock tires? How many miles on your tires? When you said you went on the sidewalk, was there no curb to climb over to get to the sidewalk? I'd say you are pretty lucky if you didn't have a scratch. Check your seat though..there may be some brown stains.

sounds like a pretty hawt trick to me. If you get any flak...just say you were actually going for a 720 but didn't catch all of it.

I'd say you simply spun out on a turn from going too fast on a wet surface. Count your blessings.

Agreed. Sounds more like sliding than hydroplaning, this usually only occurs at higher speeds

you dont know what you're doing and got pwned by the Z

my suggestion would be next time its wet out, go to an empty parking lot(a verrrrry empty parking lot) and slide the car around a bit. It'll make you look like less of a fool and will keep those damn poles out of your way(those things just jump outta no where)

i was going about 20.. there was a curb and i went onto it sideways and my car is still 100%, no scratches. its amazing what happend without one scratch. I have an 03 enthusiast with about 40000 miles with pretty new tires. Ill show some pictures tommorow. Its silver/black leather. It has tented tailights and tented windows. Ill show pictures but i need daylight to take some new ones. By the way does any1 have any rims there selling that fit perfectly on my z?

Hint: Read Your Previous Posts, Before You Make A New One.

Did you turn back, then disconnect the odometer since December '06 or was that January '07, when you bought the car?

A month ago I had new tires put on, and my first turn out of the dealership, I went sliding across a 4 lane street, did a 360. Everyone was staring at me with open mouths, followed by smirks. They were put on at Nissan so everyone was probably thinking, haha, look at that idiot...just bought a sports car and can't handle it
