So you're saying that they're going to come out w/ a new SMZ based on the 350Z....?

For those that don't remember the SMZ, here are some pics. It was my understanding that this was one of only a handful of SMZ's that was exported to Canada. Sorry they are so blurry, they were taken with my first digital camera back in 1998. The car was stunning- and had about 400hp. You see a lot of Z32's with Stillen kits on them - but this is the real deal.... I believe they made an SMZ back in 1995 to celebrate 25 years of Z cars - so maybe we'll see something in 2005....

not quite- say what you want about stillen - i've heard plenty of stories myself about problems w/ their customer service... but damn that old SMZ- your jaw would hit the floor.

 

man, those pics make me miss my old 300zx tt interior. it was so nice for that time period. and much nicer than the 350z interior.

 

Screw the SMZ - I want a SR-71...... (the SMZ is a nice car... the SR-71 is GREAT!!!)

 

Hey, I've got nothing bad to say about the SR-71. Got pics of one of those too....at least I think this is a "real" one...can someone confirm...? And yes, at this point we should probably move this thread- but b/c VQ started the thread w/ 350z related info, I guess we'll leave it....

Pic was taken during a NASA HPDE @ Limerock... That's just some blue tape- to protect the car from rocks getting kicked up & to keep glass from getting all of the track in the event of an accident.

If he's modded it then it's not a true SR-71! =) What a great car though... 450hp? I'm going to try to find the article on it.

EDIT: Too many SR-71 articles at TT.net so just go search over there but I was off by about 100hp
