The thought of selling is sort of depressing..
I just got my '06 in late October, and I currently live just outside of Atlanta.
In the fall I will be going to college, and right now it looks like I may be a big girl and go all the way out to the University of Wyoming for school.
Hmm..snow. And lots of it.
As much as I want to, I obviously can't take the Z with me.
I've been looking at getting a used small SUV, however, since my mom has four kids, (one of them going to college, and one being a new 16 year old driver) a divorce, no longer paying Dad, and everything else imaginable, I don't think my family can afford for me to have a second car, and my only choice would be to sell.
Oh jeeze..the stressss.

Being a mother of four, was the Z a good choice in the 1st place?
I don't think so.
You really should have thought this thru before you bought the Z.
It looks like you would be better off selling the Z for something more practical, but I am afraid you will lose $$$$ big time by selling so soon.
You are definitely in a situation requiring a hard decision.
Good luck with whatever you decide to do.

Thanks for the advice though.
Being a single parent is hard and it sounds like it would be a good idea to let the Z go...even though I wouldnt want to either...don't sacrifice an education(yours or a child) just for a car...you could always sell it and buy another Z later on once your done with school and you'll be able to enjoy it more with less stress...good luck with your decision...
edit: um ok....good luck with school and on finding another car lol

If you really have to keep the car then bum rides off of friends at school when the weather is bad. Na but seriously hardrock905 is right. The Z was a bad move based on your family's situation. Instead of selling/trading it for a loss, why don't you just trade with another sibling for a year then decide? By then you would have caught up on the negative equity and be in a better position to sell/trade or find another car. College is a horrible place for a nice car unless you have a good spot to park it.

In the end, he will probably take it back and just drive it as his own and my mom and I will be responsible for getting me another car.

Trust me, you DO NOT want to own a nice car in college. Dont worry though because you'll be having too much fun to notice.
I sold my Z and it paid for the first semester of grad school. Had to get rid of a two seater anyway because my gf (now wife) didn't have a car so I had to buy her one and bought myself a used G35 coupe.
DONT SELL IT. I sold my 2004 Z after 2 yrs with it and a whole bunch of goodies installed including Volk rims. I barley made it 6months and had to by another one because I missed it soooo much. I got a 2006 now and buying a second pair of Volks killed me but thats life right. Keep the car and figure out a plan.

17 year old chick with a Z... OMFG, Sell it now, or you will not make it to college. Why the heck would any sane parent hand the keys over to a 17 year old. Your parents could have paid for your college tuition with the cost of that Z. Some people have the whackest priorities in life. Reminds me of the people that park 50,000 dollars cars in front of a 20,000 dolar Double-wide. Hopefuly you will turn out a little smarter than your parents.
