^Yay I'm excited to hear it! I hope to be in an 07 by the summer. Those of you that have cleared break-in get on it a little to make sure there is no consumption at all.

I only have 550 right now but the oil is SOOO light.

Does anyone know whats filled at the factory, I get the 3,750 mile oil change free and am doing my own at 1200 miles (and redline driveline fluids ) just for extra measure. I planned on amsoil after, but whatever they are using factory seems to be holding up damn well for others as well so its got me thinking...

After I changed my oil @ 1,200 I changed it...I have driven the car a little harder and still no consumption issues yet. The engine is supposed to have better seats and rings so hopefully the oil issue is taken care of.

Guys don't worry about oil consumption for the first few thousand miles; that is normal (as manual will tell you as well) while the cylinders get conditioned. Just keep an eye on it and top off as necessary. If it continues to happen, and that too, at an excessive rate, only then you have a problem.

I think too many people start panicking without realizing that their cars are brand new and some consumption is to be expected.
