Default what year z to get?

Im about to be in the market for a new car(will probably make purchase in june or july) and the first thing i looked at was an STI. than i found out insurance would be rape, so the next thing i immediatly went to was the 350z.

After doing some research ive noticed theres some differences in the 05 Zs and the 06s. Mainly that is the 06 has slightly more power.

is it worth the extra $ for the 06 or should i stick with an 04-05
06 would be the newest i would go.

i would probably go with whatever one has the lowest miles on it and has the options that you want. there isn't that much difference between the two besides a few things. if you could afford it just go with the new 07 with the hr motor in it.

+1 The '03 is supposed to be the lightest, which off sets having a few less horsepower then the '06 which is heavier. If you do end up going used, i wouldn't buy too old, cause the older ones are going outta factory warranty soon. Unless you plan on getting an extended warranty, which i highly reccomend. They are all a hell of a blast to drive. You can't really go wrong with any year. If you read on here everyone loves theirs, no matter if they have a base, or a grand touring. But like todd_06trackZ said, low miles and options prob should be the biggest concerns if buying used.
