Default Help on Decision Making..

hey guys,
This is my first noob post so please go easy on me Anyway, I've been doing some research on the z and have test drove an 04 and an 06 base. Yesterday I ran into a 05 base and the price is affordable to me. I was wondering what you z owners think I should do in my current situation.

I have an 05 subaru wrx with 14k miles and am having trouble debating whether I will trade in this car for the 05 z w/ 14k miles. Here's my life story/pro's & con's and tell me what you guys think is my best course of action.

24 years old
- perfect driving record
- graduated w/ 2 BA's and pursing a RN for nursing
- fiance w/ 8.8 lbs dog
- Really don't drive my cars past 3k rpm and don't ever race or speed anymore

2005 wrx:
pro: 14k miles, 9k left to pay off, 4 door w/space, invested 4k in mods

cons: paint sucks, gas mileage seems to be same as the z, insurance is almost 1k every 6 months

2005 350z:
pro: much power for the same gas mileage, always liked the look of the z, love the 2 test drives i took, insurace quoted me 100-200 cheaper than wrx

cons: way less space, scared of the 2 seater only, chance there might be horrible gas mileage, pay off would jump from 9k to 14k

I'm really concerned about the long term quality of the z since I've been reading about oil consumption problems and a whole bunch of other things. In my current situation looking from the long term perspective, do you think it's wise to trade my car in for the 05 350z?

I would stick with the WRX if that is the only car the two of you have.
I love my Z and the quality of them is pretty dang good...

You can't fit a dang thing in them though....
Thats why I also have a Spec-V, its a bit bigger..
The Z will CRUSH a lightly modded WRX..though you say you don't drive fast anyway....

The Z is more of a head turner than a WRX, go for the touring model and upgrade to a few more creature comforts than the WRX can offer. Not beating the **** out your car is an added insurance policy that it will be ready to enjoy whenever you want to!!

stick with the WRX you have decent speed and power with it and a heck of a lot more space. if i was you i would consider getting the Z after marriage just for the soul fact that you never know what money you will need after the wedding. so to put youself into more debt even more while engaged is not a wonderful thing to do.

You are not a 350Z person. You would know as soon as you started the engine.

If you already have a 4 door corolla, ditch the other family car and get a nice 2 seater. Who cares about space , thats what the other car is for.
